I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at The Growling Room. It was immaculately clean and a comfortable atmosphere. The two gentlemen that were cutting hair were friendly and engaging. They did an excellent job of cutting my hair to the way I like it. If you want to get a haircut In a nice clean place were people care about good old fashioned customer service I highly recommend you stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Dakota has always been very professional and has always given me a great haircut. And since Sean has returned walk ins are welcome and I have been very pleased to have him return to cutting my hair as well. They both keep me looking good. I would highly recommend them to anyone who would like a quality haircut. One thing though it would be nice to have air conditioning lol.

I was in the Parry Sound area for a few days while en route to a wedding and was in need of a haircut. I found the Growling Room on Facebook and sent Dakota a text. He accommodated me with an appointment the next morning.

Great old school barber shop which is hard to come by anymore. Dakota sure knows his way around a pair of clippers and scissors. He is very knowledgeable and personable. I not only enjoyed my time at his shop but also got a great cut!

I would recommend his shop to anyone in the Parry Sound area in need of a haircut.

An old school Barber shop with vintage Barber chairs and old time music. Always good conversation and haircuts! Dakota and Shawn do an incredible job with great attention to detail. Dakota is appointment only and Shawn handles walk-in clients. Cash only. I highly recommend getting your hair cut here, you will not be disappointed.

Great Barber Shop – best in town. The shop itself has one hair cutting chair and a few chairs for waiting. It is well equipped with games, reading materials and even some guitars to play. It also has a good variety of up-scale hair products. Chalk board system allows you to write your name down, so you can leave and come back if you time it right, chalk board spot is held for about 5 minutes, then you’re bumped down one. Great system.

While it’s a brand-new shop, I understand Sean has been cutting hair for years. He does a great job at cutting it the way you want him to so zero complaints there, and none from the wife: so winner-winner chicken dinner. Sean is also super personable, very friendly, and easy to have a conversation with! Overall, the shop has great vibes.

The shop is getting busier and busier, but the cuts are worth the wait or a postponed visit: no reservations.
