My friend from Houston and I happened upon this bar downtown during my first visit to San Antonio last September, and we were sure glad we did. The owner and staff were so hospitable and friendly, making us feel right at home, as if we had been coming here for years. Being from the Northwest, I was immediately taken with the true southern hospitality we experienced here. What a fun and friendly place - I will return!

I like to say that this is the last dive bar in dwntwn San Antonio. The river rats (dwntwn employees) frequent this spot & I've been going on & off since the late '80s.

Badass hole in the wall bar with amazing locals, karaoke, pool tables, and most importantly, strong and cheap drinks!

After 4 days of dealing with the more tourist bars, the Texas T Pub was a pleasant surprise. Fantastic prices, and good people. Terri the owner was our bartender and she was awesome! Only complaint is the relief bartender was very slow (actually never did) getting to us. If you're in San Antonio and want authenticity and "local vibes", I highly recommend a stop here!

Very friendly and comfortable spot to chill and play pool... the people here are very friendly awesome, great atmosphere! Cash Only bar price is excellent on drinks.

Avoid this place at all cost. Filled with homeless people there was a man beaten by another man with a metal bar stool. The police was never called. The homeless bring in there bags of belongings and bicycles. There are 5 beer taps but they don't work. Did not have ingredients for a marqerita. Cash only no credit cards. We went there to watch the cowboys game. Lots of TVs but no sound. Don't go there.

The last "real working man's bar" in downtown. The Pub has been around since the mid '80s, and still owned by the same beautiful lady, who happens to work there as well. The beer is always cold,drinks made with a heavy hand and jukebox loaded with all types of music. If you feel you have a good pool game, there's usually sharks swimming around the tables to test you. Some call it a dive bar, I personally see it as home away from home. Prices are low and hospitality high. Stop in and say hi to Terri, Rick and Miss Adella, you'll be glad you did.
