It is impossible to overstate how great the tacos at Sister are. I travel for a living, and these are hands down the best tacos I've ever consumed in all my travels. The carne asada and pork belly are tied neck and neck for the top spot with the carnitas not far behind with all the taco options being gluten free. Literally after one bite of the carne asada I knew I had come across something that is in a league of it's own. If you enjoy tacos and you find yourself in Albuquerque, you MUST go to Sister and experience the best. I will forever compare every taco I eat in the future to the ones I just had the pleasure of experiencing at this establishment. Oh yeah, there's also pinball machines and a boatload of beer on tap if that's your thing too.

The tacos were well prepared. We had carnitas tacos and pork belly tacos. I didn't appreciate having to go to the bar to order food. Prices were okay. I loved playing pinball after dinner. Great place to grab a bite before going to an event at the Kimo theater.

This bar has a cool look to it, it reminds me of a Portland Oregon bar. It has a dive bar feel but it’s clean. Their bathrooms are super cute and clean. They do not offer table service (I over heard the bartender tell a table). I can’t say how the food was, because I didn’t order any and I didn’t see anyone around me order any. The drinks were good and not overly expensive. Most of the bartenders will complementary ignore you if you try and get their attention. ? It wasn’t busy, seeing as I went in around 2:30pm, there were 4 or more bartenders all running around like they’re busy so they don’t have to talk to their customers. As a bartender myself I respect their game but from the conversation I had with some regulars don’t. I plan on going back to get food in the near future.

This was my favorite bar and place to see shows even compared to small venues in San Francisco and Oakland. They get some great bands, good drinks and good prices. One could go to a $15 show, hang out at the bar and watch or wander onto the dance floor, out front ,or out back and play pinball. They also had art work by Mike Giant on the walls.

However, they recently installed a wall cutting off the stage from the rest of the bar. Giant's art is gone. Granted, now you don't have to pay for a show to go to the bar but you can't watch the show anymore from the bar. I fear it ruined the venue. What about dance nights? You have to walk through a small door and can't watch your friends while you get them drinks. The whole feel of the venue has changed

Delicious cheese fries with carne asada. Decent beer selection, though I wish there had been more IPA options. Staff was super courteous and friendly. Spacious place. Lots of pinball! So fun.

Great beer selection and plenty of arcade games. The seating is somewhat limited, but still plenty of room at the bar

One of my top favorite places in Albuquerque.

First off, their food is fantastic. Their frito pie with brisket and red chile is the best in town. Their tacos are amazing, especially the brisket. Their kimchi tater tots are another city best. Brunch burritos and pancakes are excellent, and a great morning vibe for kids.

The cocktails and beer selection are top notch. Vintage arcade cabinets and pinball as far as the eye can see. Also a killer concert venue.

This place has the vibe, the space, and the goods. An instant ABQ classic!
