Great oysters on the half shell and the smoked duck pizza with a substitution of goat cheese instead of blue cheese was excellent! $20 bottles of wine on special on Thursdays for happy hour.

I really wanted to like this place and was so excited to try it. Cool set and vibe. I made a 7:30 reservation. Got there 5 minutes late and waited 25 minutes only for no one to come and take my order, see if I needed anything. Nothing! On the onset, they acted shocked, and like there was an issue that I made a reservation, the lady told me that I could sit wherever I wanted and left me back there. I know they knew I was there because there was another table next to me. They came and got their payment. A person came and cleaned their table. Another person came back there twice and nothing. Yeah, I had a serious attitude because I drove from Humble and valet my car, only to be ignored. Simone on Sunset, thankyoufor ruining my night.

What a fantastic spot in the middle of Rice village!! They have both indoor and outdoor seating available (outdoor have heaters! ) and inside you can find high top, bar and traditional seating. Since technically they are a wine bar, you can still find many other drink choices (their Rhubarb mule and cucumber martini is absolutely delicious). The service is outstanding with everyone warm, courteous and friendly! Our server was Jesse (sorry if I misspelled the name) and he was Amazing. His attention to detail was always on point! The food came out fast, warm and delicious with portions big enough to share. Best of all they have complimentary valet parking. We'll be back!

Absolutely loved our experience at Simone on Sunset! The patio vibes were just perfect for a relaxed evening. We tried the Capri and Smoked Duck pizzas, and wow, they were delicious! Great spot for a casual hangout with fantastic food. Will definitely be back for more.

Looking for a spot to meet a friend near the Village for a Saturday afternoon catchup, we went to Simone on Sunset. It appeared empty upon arriving at 4 pm / 16h though once turned the corner there were two tables eating and a room hosting a tango class. Understanding that it was a quiet time at the restaurant, we went to the bar to order two drinks and a couple of happy hour snacks - truffle Parmesan popcorn and mixed samosas. The popcorn was a generous serving of popcorn covered in freshly shaven Parmesan cheese and truffle salt. Definitely ask for a spoon to catch all the salty goodness of the Parmesan and truffle salt that fall to the bottom of the bowl. The samosas, a mix of lamb, chicken and vegetable were average. We sat on a sofa in a part of the restaurant where it was very dark even on a sunny summer day. For my first visit, the overall impression was average. What still stands out was the tango class taking place there and parking on the street, which I can imagine would be difficult during the week when Sunset Boulevard is busier.

This is the perfect place to relax after a tiring day or week. I’ve been here a bunch of times and never been disappointed! The pizzas and chicken have been amazing, and the service is top notch! They always take good care of you and the cocktails are to die for. I wholeheartedly recommend the gin and tonic as well. Looking forward to my next visit!
