When I'm looking for a new hairstylist, I always head straight for Aveda salons. I don't love their products for my hair, but I think their stylists have the baseline skills that I'm looking for. I've been seeing Kirsten at Romeo for years, and I've been super happy. She knows how to cut my naturally curly hair (2C/3A). Recently, I stepped out of my comfort zone and got a shaggy cut with bangs--it's such a fantastic cut and I have never received so many compliments on my hair!

I’m genuinely not the type to leave reviews but Jenny is an absolute darling. I got a balayage and a haircut. She walked me through the whole process and I loved how my hair came out at the end. I’m in love with my hair and I’ve been getting so many compliments already.

I went to this salon last week to get my hair done. I wanted to style my hair for my graduation day. While booking the appointment the lady told me the cost for wash, cut and style would be a certain price, I agreed as only styling would also be a similar price . Then she said there are different stylists with different costs, and I agreed to go with the first level stylist. When deciding the day, she said the first level stylist is not available on that specific day and she said Jenny is available so I booked with Jenny and she gave me a cost for the same. When I arrived on the day of the appointment, there was an another person who called out my name and took me in. She said her name was Kelly and I asked her I was supposed to be booked with Jenny so would the cost be same She was like no, my cost is more than Jenny and she is not in right now. So I said that I’m booked with Jenny at a certain cost, you’ll need to honour that right!! But she said, this is my cost and you can rebook if you want. I couldn’t do much as I had my graduation on that day and not much time to run to another salon. So I just agreed. She was very impatient at the start. She did the styling well but I really didn’t like the way things went.

Jenny is incredibly attentive, pleasant, and engaging to chat with. She was very clear about what she was doing at every step and helped me to navigate the best choice of hairstyle that I was going for that was suitable to my hair type/length. I always love the atmosphere at Romeo’s and how clean it looks and smells. The staff are nothing short of amazing. You won’t regret going 🙂

I got my hair washed, blow dried, and styled by Jenny for my grad photos. She did a great job and styled my hair exactly as I was hoping. I was a bit nervous since it was my first time at this salon, but the place is great and Jenny was lovely to talk to! My hair stayed intact for my photos and throughout the day despite how windy it was.

My only pain point was the online appointment booking schedule. Though it didn’t really impact my experience, the user interface wasn’t the easiest or clear to use.

I had the opportunity to have Ivana dye, cut and style my hair. She helped me when employed at another salon but I wanted to show my support at her new salon she’s working at currently (Romeo).

I had bleached my hair in the past and it was awkward and growing out, I asked to have my hair dyed a darker brown. Ivana walked me through the whole process and made sure I was happy with the colour selection before proceeding. There has been times I’ve been surprised with the colour results so I really appreciated this.

Ivana did an amazing job with my hair, I was beyond thrilled with the results. I have struggled to find hairdressers that can manage my curly and thick hair, until I worked with Ivana. It was a really relaxing session and I really enjoyed myself. I would recommend Ivana’s services very highly, she does incredible work! Worth the trip from Toronto! The before and after speaks for itself. Thanks again Ivana!
