Super disappointed. For my birthday present, my husband paid to have me get my nails done. I picked the sculpted gel set, as I loved the description of an extended nail without the damage of acrylics. I had a lovely nail tech and the experience was great. After two days of having the nails, my thumb nail broke. I messaged the salon and they said they would be happy to have me come in and fix the broken nail. Over the next few days, while waiting for the appt I set to fix my nails, I ended up with 5 broken nails, and within 1 week of the appt, I had no nails left, and the remaining portions on each nail easily popped off.

I’d reached out, again, to change my appt to just get them replaced with gel polish, thinking it would be free since they were willing to fix the nails for free. I was mistaken and clearly didn’t understand the free option was only for getting the same nail product put back on even though it clearly wasn’t sticking to my natural nails. I got my gel nail polish done, went up to pay what I was thinking may be a small fee and gratuity, and was told the removal I didn’t end up needing (because it all came off) was free, but that since I chose a different service, I was expected to pay the full price. With-in a week and a few days (by the time I could get back in due to my work schedule), I’d tipped two nail techs 20% PLUS paid $90 for the sculpted nails with simple nail art and $47 for the gel nail polish!

I ended up having a phone conversation with a manager, who was polite and listened to my complaints, but nothing was resolved. I explained that perhaps I misunderstood that the gel polish wasn’t going to be free, but that it made no sense for me to have the same sculpted gel put on when even one of the other managers said it doesn’t adhere to everyone’s nails and that mine clearly didn’t work with the product- Plus the gel polish is a cheaper service than getting the sculpted gel put back on again. The manager said she could do nothing due to the policy and I thanked her for her time.

I strongly feel that anyone booking the sculpted gel nails for the first time should be made aware that the product may not adhere, and that someone who experienced what I did should not pay for the replacement manicure of equal OR LESSER value if they want to “make it right” as they said to me over messaging.

Finally, I must say that the gel nails I paid $47 to have as a replacement to my original manicure was of poor quality, as the nail tech who did my original service was running by behind and I was given a very new nail tech who, though trying her best and taking her time to do it right, clearly was not ready to be doing professional manicures - jagged edges along my nail beds, bubbled areas on both thumbs, and cured gel hanging off my nails in two areas left much to be desired. Just an overall horrible experience with the customer service and after spending a total of $175 there, I most certainly will go elsewhere in the future.

Disappointed. I went in for Gel-X application and a French manicure. My cuticles ended up looking raggedy, but I didn't see how bad it was until I was in sunshine. Four days later one nail fell off, another one was lifting, and one was chipped. I messaged the salon a picture of all the issues and they asked me to come in so they could "make it right."

I went in, was seated right next to the original technician's station while they worked, which was very awkward for everyone. The lead tech said she could repair the one that came off and the one that was lifting, but nothing she could do about the cuticles. I opted to have the nails removed instead, because I didn't want to keep them on with the way they looked.

After the removal was done, I left the salon and my phone rang. I was asked to come back and pay for the removal and "any gratuity" for the technician. The person working the desk had no idea about the messaging that took place, and then said that while it might have been and awkward situation to be seated right next to the original tech, it could have been a teaching moment. LOL. It's not my responsibility to make sure their techs get training. They could have used the picture I sent.

Needless to say I didn't pay for the removal. I hadn't had my nails done in a year and a half, and it feels awful to have wasted $100 (85 plus tip) on what was supposed to make me happy! Now my custicles are even worse off after having to sit through the acetone removal. Not to mention I'm still picking gel off my fingers.

One thing I will say is both technicians that worked on my nails had pleasant personalities.

UPDATE:
Manager called me and asked me to come in and fix my nails with the lead tech. They offered to give me another pedi but it was easier for me to just get my toes fixed. I would come back since they called instead of ignoring the issue. Ivelys is great and I would come back to see her!

Pretty disappointed as a first time customer here. Ambiance great.. techs are personable.. but the fact that I spent 120 for gel mani/pedi.. and this pedicure is already ruined within what .. 3 hours ?! Not sure if I want to even come back or recommend this place.

Service was good but the nail job was just OK. I'd recommend for emergencies. For a hang nail or color change...

I have always had an excellent experience and would recommend them. However I had my Gel X nails removed and the technician cut my skin with the emery board. Manicure looks terrible with all the scabs. Burned but show until later . I will go back but not that tech.

Paint Nail Bar was great. I did a pedicure and the paraffin was well worth the up sale. I don’t think I’ll ever do a normal pedicure again. The staff was very pleasant and made my experience great. I plan on going back again.

Tessa, not sure if she is the owner or receptionist (since they are constantly changing ownership) was very rude n had a very negative attitude. If she is the receptionist she lacks customer service knowledge, if she is the owner she has no business sense.
She lost a long time customer today, not because I disagree with your policies, I fully support protecting your employees, but her attitude leaves a lot to be desired.

On another note I liked this place because is clean n close to my home n I’m very happy with my technician. Adding this note because I don’t want technicians losing clientele just because of 1 person’s attitude.

I had a great experience from the moment I arrived until I left. The receptionist made me feel at home immediately, love the mimosa's, and the awesome pedicure. I felt completely pampered and the Paint Bar in Fort Myers is my new “go to” place when I need a mani/pedi!
