Excellent salon!

I’d like to share my honest experience with this salon. I had my hair cut by one of the junior stylists here, and despite emphasizing multiple times how important this haircut was for my upcoming birthday event, the results were far from satisfactory. I showed the stylist my desired hairstyle in detail, but instead of admitting any limitations or lack of expertise, they went ahead with the cut.

At first, the result seemed tolerable, but things took a turn for the worse after a poorly executed blow-dry that made my hair look like a cheap wig. The stylist then used texturizing scissors in an unskilled manner, leaving my hair with uneven layers and noticeable holes. The final style not only looked nothing like what I had requested, but it was also so poorly done that it was visibly uneven and messy.

Ultimately, I had to rush to another salon a day later, paying an additional fee for a more experienced stylist to fix the damage as much as possible. This was a disappointing and stressful experience, and I would not recommend trusting the junior staff.

I’ve always had great experiences at this salon! i would have rated 5 stars, I truly want to but I have noticed some issues the last couple of times i have gone.
First, I wanted a stylist who was lower than senior so it could be more affordable for me and I had thought that I requested this over the phone, but perhaps I didn’t make it clear enough? I just wish this was discussed more clearly so that clients could know what they're paying. I also have had junior stylists in the past and no issues, but this time I had a senior stylist and I had to come back right away when I noticed a long piece.. she did go to fix it without hesitation which I very much appreciated, but after leaving again, I noticed another long piece:( it just sucks to pay almost $100 for a haircut that seemed rushed. not sure if I’ll feel confident to come here again unless i request someone who has cut my hair well in the past.
I’ve also noticed the phone being left to ring. I had to try calling two separate times and it took four rings to finally get through.. and this is while the store is open.

Update! Pam, the former owner has left. Unfortunately the new owners are not that nice or good at people managing or managing this type of business from what I've seen since their takeover.

The owner of this business was a great person who wass genuinely concerned about her customers experience. (Unfortunately she sold the business) She would walk you to your car with an umbrella if it is raining so your new hairstyle won't get wet, to making sure your lashes are in perfect place. The staff she had are also very friendly and attentive as well. This was a great full service spot. Now it's a Barber shop...
Thank you Pam for being you and doing what you did! You will be missed here by your staff and clients.

I come to Oz for a wash and style and I’m really happy with Komal’s service. It’s by far the best blow dry I’ve gotten in Waterloo at a great price! My husband and son also started coming for a cut / trim recently and they’re super satisfied .

Had an amazing experience with Jen doing my hair. She was so friendly and took the time to explain the steps to me so I was able to trust her with cutting and highlighting my hair. She did a wonderful job and I will most definitely continue to go back and recommend her to anyone looking.

The guys at OZ hHair & Skin are amazing! I stopped by to see the big renovation, and Samir and his team were able to get me trimmed up in 10 minutes!

The staff are unbelievably friendly, and the owner is fantastic! Will definitely recommend to all of my friends and family!

Great trim for a great price!
