I booked a one hour appointment with Alli the massage therapist who works out of this location. I had an absolutely amazing experience.
This is a charming little salon with friendly staff and regular customers. I briefly chatted with some of the employees and customers while sitting in the waiting room, which made me feel comfortable and welcomed in their establishment.
Ali brought me in her room and right away I felt at ease with her. She is a calm, soft-spoken, mild-mannered woman who has the ability to put you at ease within a few seconds. I am a very introverted person and I often feel very anxious around others, but Allie made me feel super comfortable. Massage experiences have not always been so great for me either. Having a stranger so close in my private space and touching my body makes me very anxious. In addition to that, I have had really bad massage therapists with very aggressive manners and heavy handed touches. As a result of that, I had experienced the opposite of relaxation and left massage sessions more anxious and literally in pain. This is why I was reluctant to book the massage, but felt that I needed to keep an open mind in order to be able to find a therapist that would be in sync with me, my energy and my body. And that therapist, of course, is Alli!
Instead of a full body massage, I opted for 1h15min of a head massage. This is where I have been experiencing more tension and more discomfort recently. The minute she started massaging my head, I was in heaven. Her touch was just heavenly. She had incredible finger movement and a brilliant way of finding very specific pressure points that once massaged would release an considerable amount of tension. Sometimes touching those pressure points around my head would interestingly enough release the tension in other parts of my body, such as my chest or my feet, even though those parts were not even touched! Only a really skilled therapist would have the ability to do that. At some point when she started massaging near my TMJ I felt so much release of tension. Recently, I have been clenching a lot due to stress. My TMJ has been hurting so much as a result of that. That particular day I felt a lot of pain. Ever since I had that massage the pain has been gone ! I also believe I was subconsciously, holding onto a lot of tension in my body that I wasn’t able to let go. Ally’s energy was able to guide me to release the tension and let it go.
She was very communicative before and after the session. She made sure that I did not feel too cold, she asked me what scent of oil I wanted, and she made sure to ask me if I was comfortable. She did not talk during the massage which I highly appreciated. My last massage therapist kept talking to me during the whole session and I was not able to relax.
All in all, I left the session rejuvenated, feeling like a brand new person. When I walked out of the room, I felt like I just came back from another world.
Unfortunately, I am not a resident here in this town and I was only visiting for a few days but I come here every summer and my massage sessions with Allie will be number one on my list of things to do in Meadow Lake. She is an amazingly skilled massage therapist and I highly highly recommend her services to anyone who is reading this. Thank you Alli for this incredible experience. I am so grateful and appreciative of you.

Called to see if they had time for a quick buzz cut. "Can you come right away?" I Was there within 6 minutes only to be asked to come back at 12:30 as they took a walk in in that time frame. Showed up at 12:30 and they asked if I could come back a third time. How about no. Will find somewhere else to get a simple buzz. Never trying to book here again.

it was a senior level hairstylist tammie she is also the owner of the place

my appointment was at 11:30 waited until 12:30 before i got seen and then applied bleach to my hair and then went to see another client and left the bleach on to long

then continued to talk the whole time about how i should date her son very uncomfortable experience

it’s embarrassing how bad my hair looks

i went in with 6 inches of roots and another 6 inches of blonde ends

i asked for a blended highlights with my roots and instead she did full head bleach and it all broke off to above my jaw

and is two weeks later and still snapping off a inch from my head

i now have bangs which i didn’t want because of over processing with bleach

she has now blocked me when i went to update her on my hair and facebook page she turned reviews off

so best i can do now is save some one from the same experience
DONT GET ANY BLONDE DONE HERE !!!!

$200 to leave with solid blonde yellow hair that snapped off when i asked for highlights blended with my 6 inches of root light brown and did opposite of what i asked

she refunded me $100 best she said she could do

6 months of hair growth down the drain and starting over with almost a pixie cut now and still getting worst

update it’s been three months and my hair is now all broken off i have top layer but seriously over processed and feels like straw when wet still 3 MONTHS LATER ITS SNAPPING OFF FASTER THEN IT GROWS SHE RUINED MY HAIR IT WILL TAKE A YEAR TO GROW OUT ANOTHER SIX MONTHS OF GROWTH BEFORE THE DAMAGED IS ALL GONE WORST EXPERIENCE

I went got my eyebrows done by a young apprentice.not a good job at all.they were horrible.she did ask if i liked them i was honest ina nice way.no but ill deal with it.i dealt with it.way much better job.by Cherrybomb.few doors down north.i didnt want her to touch my brows after what she did.didnt evn wax the bottom.thats y i tried to b nice as possible but also say no i wasnt happy....cherrybomb will be my go to for eyebrow wax.i just moved here.its happy to find a good waxer.happy i found her on 2nd try.
