I had a day spa with Mary-kate. Mani/pedi, facial and massage. It was a relaxing and Mary-kate is wonderful and very knowledgeable. She gave me a lot of advice about my skin and products to buy. I will definitely be back

The staff here are very nice. However, my experience was not good. When getting laser hair removal done it was extremely painful and I was literally being burnt alive. I told the technician and she tried to help but that did no good. I think the problem is she was not trained on how to complete the process with someone of dark skin. The settings are different for each skin type. I have had many sessions before at another clinic and never experienced this. It was worst than child birth. I still have scars months later. It's a shame.

I have been multiple times to the salon for services with Miranda and have always had a great experience. I recently returned for a hot stone massage with Laura and it was amazing, my first one ever. The level of thoroughness and kindness made the experience even better. Great employees!

This review is long overdue. Every experience I've had at Maison Grand over the last two years has been fabulous. I've had services by Miranda & Laura and they are both amazing at what they do. The facials here are my favourite I've ever had. I also enjoy how they are always learning new treatments and offering different specials so it's more enticing to try new things. I travel to come here from Amherstburg and I will continue to do so! Worth every cent. Highly recommend coming here for spa services!

I have had 2 facials at Masion Grand - Blenheim location. Brettlie is absolutely amazing! She explains everything, is super personable, and every facial has been extremely relaxing! Highly recommend going to see her and having the most relaxing experience! My face feels so wonderful, I can't wait until my next one !?

*INJURY*
Last week on Wednesday evening I had my first laser hair removal session with Mary Kate at Maison Grand in Chatham. The first two spots on my bikini line were incredibly painful, more than it should have been. I immediately said something and she made an adjustment on the machine. The next day, Thursday, I realized that I had been burnt really bad by the laser. Those first two spots left very bright red marks in the shape of two large rectangles. I tried to call and no one answered so I called Friday and Mary Kate answered. I asked for the owner but she said she had stepped out. I explained the situation and she said she would have the owner call me back shortly and that she was sorry. Over three hours later and no phone call. So I called again and the owner answered. She was clearly frustrated that I had called and seemed very annoyed and upset with me. I explained the situation and that I would like a refund of my money. I was calm and nice the whole time. She told me that I would have to make an appointment with Mary Kate to show my injury for a photo or take a photo of myself and email it to them. Then she said she would have to do a report with the laser company first before the money is dealt with. There was no care or concern for my injury and there was no apology. I sent a photo in via email and never heard back. No confirmation that they received my email. I called back on Tuesday and spoke with the owner again. Again, I could tell she was very annoyed and upset with me for bothering her. She said that the internet had been out since Saturday and that she still needed to make a report with the laser company. She still could have emailed me Friday to at least let me know she got my email. Anyways, I explained that that issue was between her and the laser company, and we have a different issue between us. She asked for my email address to e-transfer the money back. 24 hours later and there was still no refund. So I called today which is one week since the injury again the owner was not there to talk to so I left a message with the lady who answered the phone. Because of the situation she said she would text the owner, who never did call me back. The owner never asked how the injury was or best wishes for a full recovery. Over 4 1/2 hours later I got my refund.

I’d like to add that I had to spend my time receiving medical care, and my costs as I had to buy a prescription for treatment.

I’d also like to add that their advertisement for “Discover fast, effective and PAIN-FREE hair removal with Sharplight technology!” is completely false. In all three locations on my body, it was very painful.

I understand these accidents can happen, but my issue is with the owner and how she handled it. As a business owner, she should care about her clients and not just money. There was zero compassion and I am very worried that this injury will leave scars.
