I went to do acrylic with the owner (Lina), but I had SNS which is what I'm used to. Lina told me that she recommended sns for me but that she didn't do that herself.
The wait was very long since i wasn't going to jeep my appointmentwith her anymore, but the job was done. I live 20 minutes away from the nail salon. When I got home, I realized that one of the nails had chipped. So I immediately drove back to the nail salon. Lina received me and said that the girl that did it had left and that she had noone to do ir. To just go back the next day. I was upset telling her that my exposed nail was going to break, and what she offered was a bandage. I went home and just like I said the nail broke where it was exposed. And the other tip of that same nail chipped too, so I just decided to cut it and was not going to go back. Only that the next day 2 more nails where chipping. I did my nails on Thursday, today is Wednesday and if i don't do something all my nails will break. I have 5 nails that chipped and 3 that broke because of it. I called Lina and told her what had happened. Not to acuse the person who did them I said that I wasn't sure if the product was cheap, or what happened, but my nails last me over 3 weeks when I do them where I'm used to on Long Island. Lina got defensive once she heard the word cheap and refused to help me. She said that she doesn't give refunds, but I was asking her to just fix my nails and maybe do the acrylic on my natural nails as I was originally going to do. She said that I was going to have to pay for that if I wanted it. She also said I don't go home whith you and don't know of you bite your nails. People who bite their nails don't have long natural nails!!!! She also hung up on me and told me to write that she didn't care if I wrote a bad review. I thought that the fact that I went back the same day within an hour would have been enough for her to do the right thing. I will post pics of my nails before and how they look now before a week. My nails were very long so I asked to cut them. I will add pictures of my nails with the French manicure that was just grown and needed to be redone. No nail was broken and they were very long. Those are my natural nails with just powder Gel or SNS. The pink is the new color and the first 3 pics in pink were taken on the same day. The last 2 pictures I just took now.

I had an appointment with Savina for 12:30. I got there at 12:20 because I thought if I was there early then she would take me early. I waited till 1:10 and finally had enough of the wait since Savina was taking a long time on this client before me. I decided to go with whoever was available and it was Kenny. Worst choice I made, I should have left. Kenny cared more about his phone than my actual nails. He did my nails horrible! How can you let a person leave the salon with nails like those! He didn't even do my cuticles nor actually clean my real nails. I wish I could give zero stars.

I came here for several months as I loved the nail art they were able to do. But the last few times I came the techs seems so BOTHERED by me asking for extra things like chrome, pearls, etc. which is funny because it makes the salon more money. Getting my nails done is the only thing I do for myself and I will not be wasting my money here feeling bad for asking for things when I made an appointment for the services in the first place.

I was a walk-in. There were 6 techs, only 1 (Lina)had a customer. I think they throw the new clients to worse tech. The male tech did my nails…as soon as I sat down told him what I wanted, (short almond shaped c curve) asked if they pinched nails to create C-curve. He said yes. First red flag—no cuticle care and he put tips that were too small for my nail bed. Then he starts to apply acrylic and isn’t putting pinchers like I asked. After the second nail, I asked again about the pinching the nails. He’s clearly not understanding what I’m asking, seems annoyed. So I turned to tech next to him to translate. She’s talking to him and to the salon owner. She then tells me they don’t do that there. This is so unprofessional, if your employee cannot understand or communicate with customers why wouldn’t you facilitate and translate initially to make it very clear for both parties what is expected?!?!!!!!! So after accepting the fact that I won’t be walking out with what I wanted…the work wasn’t even good. 5 nails were crooked which I pointed out, he filed and filed and filed to try and fix but no they still look off. He also cut my pinky finger with the aggressive filing after I asked to correct nails.
This is sad and disappointing. I’m sure this man has been a tech for a few years and his lack of interest in the profession shows in his work.
Where are the people that take pride in their work? Not at this salon…..
6 days later nails are already lifting and look Horrible!! Save your money don’t go here

Fast service and fabulous nails always. Lina is exceptional in her craft. Been going here for 7 years and she's still as amazing as my first experience with her. Truly there is no one like her.

If I could give zero stars I would. NEVER coming back. I was there yesterday and called to make an appointment at 5:45. When I walked in I was instantly rushed to sit down… not even to choose a color. The guy was Kenny who did my nails RUSHED me. it was like he couldn’t have me out fast enough. There was so much paint missing on my nails (as pictured) and just sloppy work. I’m not picky about my nails but i asked for SLIGHTLY square/ coffin. While doing my nails I asked him politely not to file the nails because it hurt and im sensitive. I was told he NEEDED to file them. Anywhere else I have gone they have always respected not filing my nails. So as he continued to file my nails I was told to pick the color. As I was trying to look through the colors, he was grabbing my hands and i said “i can’t look at the colors with no hands” he continued to do my nails. I told the owner that I was not happy with the shape of my nails and that i was being completely rushed. I was the last customer there and everyone had left besides the owner and the guy doing my nails. Her response was “he has many customers after you your not being rushed. And it’s only $5 for the shape what’s the big deal”…. I wasn’t happy with the shape because it wasn’t what I asked for. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. Keep in mind as I was going to pay, they shut all the lights off and ran out the door. So much for the “other customers” . Absolutely ashamed I wasted my time here. I will never be going again. They only care about your money rather then time and effort. NEVER AGAIN.

One piece of advice: go to Rossy’s Nail Bar in Mahopac. 10/10 service, respect for clients, and price. Lina’s is the furthest thing from a 10/10 if I could give a -10/10 I would. My nails look like I have had them for a week and I got them done 2 hours ago. The shape is awful, the color isn’t what I wanted and when I complained I was embarrassed and yelled at in front of other employees and customers. take your money anywhere else. there are 80 other salons in the area. save your money and give it to a salon and owner who deserve it.

I have been coming here for my acrylic nails for the past year! I usually see Honey and she always does an amazing job and is very efficient and gentle on my nails! I always get so many compliments! They have a great color selection too! I don't do nail designs often but when I do ask for them, Honey always gives the best recommendations. I usually show her what I want from an inspo pic from Pinterest and Honey always does it ten times better than the photo. I recommend scheduling appointments in advance on Booksy since Lina Nails is very popular which proves how good they are
