I've been on both the red light therapy and the floatation therapy. Both are to work on my multiple Sclerosis -aches and pains.
The floatation therapy was brilliant and loved how you were in control of your own experience, lid up down, lights on, off colour, and even in the room. I was amazed how quickly my body was relaxed and that for the hour, I had no aches or pains, which was lovely in itself. I slept like a log that night. The effects of the therapy were felt for a few days afterwards as well. It is nice to see at Essence Wellness soundbath meditation etc has been added to the offering by the therapists. I am going to book on before my next session so I can switch my mind off as that was challenging for me.

Red light therapy, although I do feel full of energy coming off the bed which is only 10 mins but I'm hoping for long-term effects on that as I know I need a few sessions to feel the effects for my own condition. I have used Gemmas' smaller unit in the past for a wound on my hand, and within a few days I could see it healing. I'm really excited to see the long-term benefits with my MS. Gemma is really knowledgeable, and this is back by research of hers and mine.

Essence Wellness has a lovely spa like feel to it, and this is as soon as you walk through the door. It's a lovely relaxing environment for the therapies. The staff provide a warm welcome and talks through the therapies with a great amount of knowledge and provide really good briefings before the treatments.

I love the fact there is a vanity station to use as well, so you make sure you are looking and feeling your best as you leave.

Definitely recommend, and if you have any questions, give them a call as they will talk you through anything, and if you are feeling nervous, go and have a look. They put you at ease as you walk through the door.

I visited yesterday for my first session of red light therapy. The member of staff who greeted me was friendly and welcoming. She explained the therapy bed and the controls before leaving me to my session. The building has been renovated to a high standard and is a lovely environment to have a treatment in. I found the red light therapy relaxing, and I feel that my aches and pains have reduced. Essence Wellness is such a great place to have on the doorstep, and I'm looking forward to having other treatments.

Can highly recommend the floatation tank. If you want to get away from it all for an hour and a half this is the peace and quiet you need. The whole experience was amazing and relaxing. The staff were so friendly and add to the whole chilled experience. Definitely returning.

Had a red light therapy treatment at Essence, from the minute I walked in I felt such a sense of calm. Had great instruction on how to use the bed, the treatment room was so clean and I felt so relaxed and really enjoyed the experience, the treatment was so warming I could feel my muscles relaxing - can not wait for my next session

The floatation tank experience was fantastic. From start to finish my time there was perfect. You don’t need to bring anything with you, as Gemma has provided you with everything you need, such as, towels, shower supplies, hair dryer, brushes, straighteners. The attention to detail just adds to the gorgeous sensation you get from spending precious time in the floatation tank. I loved it that much I booked one of the monthly options that are available.

Absolutely amazing experience. I’m usually running on stress and from the minute I walked in the door I felt at ease, so relaxing. Someone told me it was like having your brain ironed and they weren’t wrong. I will be a regular. Gemma and David have thought of everything. You aren’t rushed to get ready when you leave and the whole place is immaculately clean. 5 stars!!!

Very lucky that we have a centre like this in Maryport. I tried the floatation and really enjoyed the experience, thought it may feel claustrophobic to have the lid down on the tank, but really didn't at all. Very relaxing and my skin felt so soft afterwards, would definitely recommend this to people.I totally buy into the whole wellness ethos and will definitely be trying more things out.

Went with my in-laws and husband as I am sure many can relate, it is hard to know what to buy parents and in-laws so I thought, why not the gift of health and relaxation especially when my father-in-law got a bad knee. I did the red light therapy and it did wonders for my asthma which I wasn't expecting and was able to breathe without pain plus I am someone who is always achy so it was wonderful to not feel achy. My in-laws and husband did the floatation tank and loved it so we shall be returning as they are signing up to the Wellness Club. Would absolutely recommend. It really does work and make a difference.
