This place was awesome! Our waitress Josie B. was so sweet and helpful. It was our first time here and can't wait to come back! We had the chips and salsa and the onion rings for appetizers. Those onions rings are a must try! Delicious!
I had the "Cow Patty" (loaded baked potatoe w/sirloin tips), and my husband had the chicken fried chicken. Both were very delicious! The sirloin tips were cooked to perfection.
The atmosphere was great and loved the rustic decor throughout the restaurant/bar.

This is a magical place! First. The service is spot on...both times here the waitresses were amazing!! Second. You have to order Willie's nuggets..great taste and the salsa to die for!! I will be a future patron again of this place..

This place is really cute. My husband and I went for my 60th birthday and I was hoping for a great experience based on the reviews. Our experience wasn't that great. We both planned to have steak so we went with the 32oz for 2 deal. We expected to be sharing one very large steak. Instead we got 8 small pieces of steak. I have never had anyone hand me scraps of steak before. Never. I don't know if that's what they always do at this restaurant, but the server dropped it off and quickly took off. He didn't come back for quite awhile. We had asked for medium rare. The pieces were of varying thickness and some were medium to medium well and dry. A couple of pieces just barely fit medium rare. Our sides, onion rings and fries, were lukewarm and not great. All in all not a good experience and I wouldn't bother going back there.

Dined at this establishment on my return journey from Lubbock as I enjoy exploring various steak houses. The steaks, particularly the KC steak, possessed a delightful flavor overall. However, it is possible that the steak's quality did not meet my expectations.

My first job as a 14 year old, way back in 1972 was peel, slice onions and bread onion rings for a local burger joint. The onion rings served me yesterday brought back those memories. They were so good. The CFS, I have to say was the best I've ever had. My bride of 43 years and I selected this place on a whim and drove from Arlington Texas to check this place out. It was well worth the drive and we hope to return again. The server, Alisha was a sweetheart! And as a side note: the ice tea will great, filled with ice!

Always a plus when a resturant accommodates an allergy. Cattle Drive Cafe is Latex friendly. The staff was super friendly, food was hot, and portions were filling. They even had live music on the Friday night we visited. The atmosphere was family friendly. We were seated and served in no time. We ordered the steak sandwich and it was so yummy. We look forward to going again when in the area.

Luckily, we missed a turn and drive an extra few blocks which allowed us to see the sign for the Cattle Drive Cafe. With so many pick-up trucks parked out front at lunchtime, we knew it was worth a try. We were not disappointed. From the hostess greeting is with a big smile (and crayons & coloring menu for our toddler), to our server Darlene, and everyone else, we felt welcomed in a friendly atmosphere. Darlene took time to answer all of our menu questions, even checking with the kitchen for a specific inquiry. The burgers were big, juicy, and full of flavor. We were fortunate to have enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Cattle Drive Cafe. When we travel back through Coleman County this will be on our list again! Stop in for some Texas hospitality and a great meal, too!

This place is among my favorites. The Hangry Heifer burger is absolutely delicious, if I'm not mistaken these patties are made from the "not so pretty" Ribeyes that just didn't look perfect so they're ground up into burgers; regardless, they are simply amazing. If you like shrimp boil, every Thursday they also have a Shrimp Boil special with 1 lb of large shrimp, as well as 2 corn cobs,and a few small potatoes. Prices are fair for the quality of food.
