Candlelight Tavern was a fun place to stop for a few brews. Prices were good for Denver and overall I thought the beer selection was good for a dive bar. Didn’t try food but will next time.
Bartender was also very nice and welcoming. Will be back.
And unlike most dive bars, they had a bathroom mirror in the men’s room so you could snap a quick selfie for the ‘gram

Fantastic place to watch football. They have 2 dart tables and 2 pool tables as well as daily specials. Burgers are cooking all the way til midnight with other tasty bites

This place has it's pros but the smell has begun to get to me. Couldn't even think freely this past visit on account of the most putrid vomit stench you can almost taste. It started in the front room by the taps and has spread to the game room. Wish we could douse the place with hydrochloric acid or something, not sure what it will take. It's seriously a drag and you definitely should not bring ladies here if you want to see them again. Although that may have already been the case. P.S., the bartenders probably shouldn't be blasted on the clock.

My friend wanted to leave a review but his phone was about to die and he’s upset that they didn’t have a charger. He is so entitled! Might be upset that he lost two games of pool tho. Otherwise, the beer is good, don’t really like that it’s a Lions bar but as my former friend Bern says, you live and you live. Bar kind of smells weird

Insanely rude bouncer. My group had been consistently drinking for hours and everyone had ordered food. We were sitting outside to get some fresh air, bar back had just taken the drinks we had finished when the bouncer lady aggressively approached us telling us we had 5 minutes to order more drinks or we had to clear our seats for “drinking patrons”. There was nobody waiting for seats…. Just very bizarre behavior, especially when we had been respectful and had bought 5+ rounds. On top of that the bartender that was there when we initially arrived was very aggressive towards my wife…

Burgers were good, the guys inside were helpful, vibe was solid outside of the above experiences with staff.

Why has it smelled like rotting stomach bile in this place for months? I went here to play pool last night and the bartender was taking shots and acting like a drunk driver on a police body cam video. The stench was so putrid that we were covering our noses and trying to get the bartender's attention for over five minutes to close out and escape. This place is SO dirty, as well. Pool tables are full of hair and dirt. The only people in here were bar wenches and alcoholics so I guess they don't see a problem.

Place is a classic, and a Lions bar for this Detroiter to boot. Great atmosphere on gameday, but food service can get a little chaotic as servers roam the bar trying to locate the correct customer. Space is small and gets very crowded and stuffy pretty quickly, so be sure to arrive early now that the Lions are Super Bowl contenders. Daily specials are very reasonably priced. Burgers are decent. Parking can be a challenge as well.
