I gave this place 5 stars because 10 stars wasn’t an option. We’ve come to Abilene the last 5 years this time of year and this was by far the best place we’ve been. Ask for Elayne, her service is top notch! Great for big crowds too. Thank you Blue Barrel!

I've visited before and had GREAT service! But this visit was not good. Food was DELICIOUS!! but service was terrible! And they were not busy, at all.

I do recommend the French dip, though. It is maybe the best I've ever had! The mac & cheese is also very good. Honestly, I haven't had a bad thing to eat at Blu Barrel.

Went to Blue Barrel on North side. Food was awful and not first time. Very skimpy on portions. And idk what they are passing off as boneless wings. Literally chicken meatballs rolled in what ever sauce u order. Only good thing there seems to be the cold beer. Will stick to treadaway location.

Food is good and gets to you fairly quickly, even when it's busy. Staff is friendly, and the location is well-kept and organized.

Televisions line the walls showing various sport-related programs, and during a game, the location can get a bit loud.

Great burgers! Atmosphere is more a sports bar with a great selection of Burgers/Bar food. Dark and lots of TVs to choose from as well as a jukebox. Enjoy!

I went to meet some friends. We are not wild or demanding. We are pretty chill and not hard to please, but our waitress seemed annoyed, which killed the vibe. I ordered a slice of cake, and it tasted like it was freezer-burnt and stored with other food. Not worth my $50somthing tab.

First time here. We joined a friend who recommended a new location for blu barrel we had not been to before. Seems like a great environment to watch foootball and other sports . Nice layout of tvs.

Street tacos are good just not very filling. Nachos had a “dusting” of ground beef. Could be alot more beef for the money thats paid. Liquor drinks seemed very watered down.

Now the customer service is a whole different story. They were 2 bartenders at main bar where we were seated. Not sure name of one of the bartenders. Our bartender listed on receipt was Angelica S. Bartenders were not courteous or welcoming in any way. In fact, they seemed annoyed by our presence as customers. Maybe they were preoccupied with personal life/families. Maybe they prefer a different type of customer, who knows? But when your in customer service you put out on a genuine smiling face and a positive vibe, not look like your carrying the whole world on your shoulders. It doesn’t make customers view your business in a positive light.

Customer service can make or brake a business. Businesses close down all the time. Local and national chains alike. One bad review may not affect your bottom line. That’s fine. Your business is in the hands of your employees who interact with customers. It should be a lot better than what we experienced.

The carna asada street tacos were awesome fries were fresh and cooked well. My son in law had the fried calamari it came with marinara and ranch he said it was good. The food came out quickly, and prices were reasonable will be going back real soon.
